“How can we help” only ever gets a brochure answer back. These questions are the actual first step of the work, and what you write here tells me more than a scheduled call would.

Your current understanding is useful data even if it later turns out to be wrong.
What did not work is often more informative than what has not been attempted.

Based in Quincy, Illinois. Mostly remote, on-site when the work needs it — and some of it does. You cannot really watch how work moves through a company over a video call.

What happens next

I read it and reply with what I think the real question is, and whether I am the right person to answer it. If I am not, I will say so. That reply costs you nothing, and sometimes it is the whole engagement.
